My Life's Recent Events

Well, I have been very busy lately, which is exactly what is to blame for the fact that I have not written an entry in this blog since spring break. I have a lot to update on. It is 10:00 PM though, and I am tired and also sick so I need to get to bed. I will upate on what I can though before dying for the night.

Things with Trevor are going smoothly. We've been officially dating for 11 months as of yesterday... which is actually a really long relationship considering the fact that we're both teenagers going through the normal every day pressures of life that make it a living hell, we live 25 miles away from each other, and we only have two classes together (one of which is only every other day). I'm finding it amazing that I have successfully kept a boyfriend for almost a year without having to cake on the make-up daily and worrying about making sure that I look good enough to date. Trevor is a good guy in the fact that he doesn't base the way he feels about you off of the way you look. I could be totally and completely and even OBVIOUSLY ugly one day and he would still stare me in the eyes and sincerely tell me I'm beautiful... which he has done before. Yes, our relationship has had its downfalls (which every relationship has), but it is certainly a good and strong one.

Last Saturday was the DI competition, which didn't go too well for my team. We got fifth place... of course there were only five teams competing. I like to attribute that to the fact that half our team quit, so there were only three people on our team, which made it very hard for us to compete against the other teams that were all made of up more than that. They had more minds to contribute ideas and more bodies to act. Hopefully next year will be better for DI in the fact that more people will want to do it, but I don't know for sure. The main people who would be interested may not even be able to be on a team even remotely affiliated with the high school, so I don't know if DI will even happen next year. There should be enough money, but if there's nobody that wants to do it, then it won't happen either way. DI is a lot of fun, and I really hope that more people will do it next year. On a better note, the other team (all of whom I am particularly close to) got first place and are going to state competition!! yay!! They had a marvelous skit, with great costumes, props, and acting skills to go with it. They did great, and they will probably do quite well at state also. I have a lot of confidence in them.

School is going well. I am still managing a 4.0... at least I'm pretty sure I am. I haven't been able to take a look at my grades in a long time. It has been a challenge to keep up with everything though. The teachers seem to be piling more and more work as the year goes by, and they like to work us to the point of stressing out beyond return. Of course, they don't care. I'm not even sure they know what they are doing to us when they load on the homework every single night. I'm a bit stressed out about school at the moment because I missed two days in a row and I have a buttload of make-up work to do... I'm pretty sure I have this weekend to get it all done but I'm not sure. There are things going on because of the fact that it is Easter weekend that take up my time.

On top of the school work, I have a sinus infection that I am trying to get over. I have to remember to take this antibiotic three times a day, which is hard when under a busy schedule. But if I don't take it I won't get better, so I need to do my best to remember. This has been a really weird "sinus infection" though... there have been two times when I have almost passed out because of it... once I was on the risers at Sweet Adelines! It is scary to come to the point of almost passing out... your vision just leaves you and all you can see is this static like stuff in front of your face. It's disturbing. I've also had a really high fever over the past couple of days. And the doc says that all it is is a sinus infection... does that sound weird to you? It sounds weird to me.

Well, I need to stop writing now, I need to go to bed before I die of exhaustion. Goodnight!

~Sarah~
