Lord, You Have Blessed Me

Yo Peeps.

This is the song I wrote for Study Skills this year. I think I'm gonna totally and completely change the tune coz I feel that it sucks. So it will be awhile before anyone hears it... lol. I may ask a few to help me with it after I have figured out the vocals again. I may ask Trevor to help me with the piano and Bree to help me with the guitar. I may also ask my friend Corky that most of you don't know to help me with the piano, but he's never around, so it would be hard. Well, here are the lyrics at least:

Verse 1: When the sun sets on my heart,
And all I feel is sorrow.
When I feel torn apart,
As if there were no tomorrow.

Verse 2: I know I have a home,
And food I can afford.
And that I'm never alone,
Because I have You Lord.

Bridge: There's nothing better,
With You,
It'll all come together.

Chorus: Lord, You have blessed me.
More than I'll ever know.
More than I'll ever show
Any gratitude for.
Lord, You have blessed me.

Verse 3: I thank you for my friends,
And my wonderful family.
Until the end,
They will always stand by me.

Verse 4: Thank You for the one,
The one you led me to.
From whom I'll never run
And who tells me, "I love you."

[Repeat Bridge and Chorus]

Verse 5: Thank you for the sacrifice
That You made for us in love.
I speak of Jesus Christ.
Lord, You are enough.

[Repeat Chorus]

Lord, You have blessed me.

Well, I'm going to end this entry now coz my comp is freaking out. Goodbye. Please excuse any typos.

My River Adventure

On Saturday I had quite an adventure with my parents. We left the house at 9:00 AM and went out past Salida to go rafting with my mom's co-worker Grace and her family. Well, Grace and them ended up showing up about an hour and a half to two hours later than they said they were, so it kinda sucked because we almost didn't get to go rafting. But we did... except it was raining and freezing out. So pretty much the whole time (which was about three hours) I was freezing my puny little arse off... and it didn't help that I fell in the river. Yes, I fell in the river. It was freakin scary, but the Lord kept me alive. He always manages to do stuff like that for me. Anyway, what happened was we ran into a rock really hard and the raft jolted really hard, and me, weighing the tiny amount that I do, went flying into the river. Luckily I knew what I was supposed to do when one falls in the river, which was hold your knees up to keep them from being broken off by rocks and the like. So I held my knees up and floated peacefully (ha ha, peacefully... yeah right) down the river, and avoided rocks by pushing off of them with my feet. I made sure that I stayed behind the raft so as not to be drowned by it. I knew that I needed to get back in the raft as soon as I could though, because there was another raft behind us by about 50 yards and about 100 feet in front of us there was a really huge and dangerous rapid. So first the people in the boat who were supposed to save me were acting stupid and trying to get me to grab onto their oars, which was dumb, because the oars were slippery and I couldn't hold onto them and another thing... they were too short! (Idiots...) Also, my dad was freaking out and was about to jump into the river to save me, which, by the amazing Grace of God, he didn't. Which is good, because I can swim better than he can (we also needed somebody to row... lol). So eventually, they became smart and threw me the rope that was actually made (imagine that!) for saving people! So I grabbed it, they pulled me in, tore me out of the river, and I was safe. Except for the fact that I was EXTREMELY cold, and on the verge of hypothermia. Well, we had about six miles left on the stretch, so we pulled off to the side and I was able to ring out my clothes (I had a swim suit on underneath so I wasn't worried), and then we continued on with me huddled in the back of the raft. The people behind us caught up to us and we told them that I fell in and they let me use their fleece sweater, which helped me warm up A LOT. The girl that was with me in the raft who basically saved my life and is about my age was Elizabeth (who preferred to be called Libby). She was really kewl and I like to think she became my friend and I wish I had gotten her e-mail address or something. Oh well, I may see her again someday.
Well, after the raft ride, we just kind of hung out and ate dinner. We ended up spending the night and it wasn't planned so we had to sleep in our clothes and wear the same ones the next day, but that was okay because it was camping anyways. They let us use their extra tent and extra sleeping bags, which was awesome. They were overall very nice people. Then the next day we went to Salida and ate lunch there and went swimming (as if I hadn't had enough water the day before... I can never get enough of that stuff), and afterwards we left and I drove all the freakin way back, which was about three hours. It was crazy. And I made it to Rye in time for youth group. lol.

Well, that was my adventure. It was interesting... but I was REALLY happy to come home. lol. Goodbye.
